Meet The Coaches

Lou Campanelli - head Men’s Basketball Coach at University of California 1985-93. Head coach at James Madison University (1973–85). Coach Capanelli took an all-girl Madison college athletics program and turned it into a successful men's NCAA basketball program. Author of Dare to Dream: How James Madison University Became Coed and Shocked the Basketball World.

Greg Gomes – Granada Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. Coach Gomes is a long time coach at Granada, coaching Boys Varsity Basketball and Football. He’s been an Administrator at Granada, a PE teacher, and a Social Science Teacher. He continues to be one of Granada’s most experience coaches and teachers.

James Petersdorf – Livermore Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. Coach Petersdorf is a veteran coach at Livermore High School, coaching Boys Varsity Basketball and Football. Coach Petersdorf is also the Athletic Director at Livermore High School. Coach Petersdorf also teaches history at Livermore High School. Coach Petersdorf is a pillar on the Livermore High School staff.

Paul LeClaire - EASTBAY BULLDOGS BASKETBALL - Club DirectorHas had over 60 players go on to play in college and hundreds have made it to the HS Varsity level.

Coach Elizabeth Stanley – Highly successful basketball coach, coached for eight years at Ohlone College, coached at Granada High School and Amador High School, and ran her own basketball club program, Tri-Valley Elite. Coach Stanley lead Amador Valley to the Division II state championship game her final three seasons at Amador Valley before leaving to coach at Ohlone College.

Coach Tom Hansen – First basketball coach at Foothill High School. He also served as the Athletic Director throughout the years. Coach Hansen started the Foothill program in the early 1970s and coached their 21 years. The Foothill High School Gym is named after Coach Hansen.

This is a mandatory clinic for coaches that are going to coach in the 2017-18 season. These veteran coaches are being very gracious with their time, let’s take advantage of their years of experience.
